IBPS PO Prelims (04 Dec, 2021 Shift 3)
Explanation:
- Initial mixture (50 liters), milk : water = 3 : 2
- So, milk = (3/5)×50 = 30 liters, water = (2/5)×50 = 20 liters
- 10 liters mixture removed: (Same ratio) milk removed = (3/5)×10 = 6 liters, water removed = (2/5)×10 = 4 liters
- Left after removal: Milk = 30–6 = 24 liters, Water = 20–4 = 16 liters
- 12 liters milk and 12 liters water added
- Now, Milk = 24+12 = 36 liters, Water = 16+12 = 28 liters
- Ratio of water : milk = 28 : 36 = 7 : 9
So, the correct option is:
Option:2, 7 : 9
