Popular playback and classical singer Kavita Krishnamurthy received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to music.

She was conferred with the honour at the annual UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF) in London.
Kavita Krishnamurthy, 66, has given Bollywood several box-office hits.
Her songs are from films like 'Mr India' and 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'.
She received the Golden Flame Lifetime Achievement Award in a grand ceremony held over the weekend, followed by a celebratory bash on Monday, May 13.
