Kerala Launches India’s First Govt-Backed OTT Platform, 'CSpace'

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched India’s first state-run over-the-top (OTT) platform named ‘CSpace’ in Thiruvananthapuram. The platform, managed by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), aims to showcase award-winning films, short films, documentaries,

  • Operated on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs of the Government of Kerala, CSpace has established a curator panel comprising 60 members, including eminent cultural personalities, from the state.
  • The platform currently houses 42 films, including 35 feature films, six documentaries and one short film, and is available for download on both Android and iOS devices.
  • Users are required to pay Rs 75 per movie as part of the platform’s pay-per-view model.
