NTPC Limited, India's leading integrated power company, is preparing to roll out the latest iteration of its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM). 

• GEM aims to address gender inequality by nurturing the aspirations of young girls and providing them with opportunities for growth and development.
• The program is scheduled to commence in April 2024 and the upcoming edition of GEM will welcome approximately 3,000 deserving children from underprivileged backgrounds across 42 identified locations within the power sector PSU.
• This expansion will bring the total number of beneficiaries under the mission to over 10,000.
• The core focus of the GEM Mission is to empower girls through various interventions aimed at nurturing leadership qualities and preparing them for the future.
• The comprehensive workshop covers topics such as health, hygiene, safety, fitness, sports, and yoga, providing participants with essential skills and knowledge.
