World Health Day is celebrated every year on the founding day of the World Health Organisation (WHO) on 7 April, annually. The day is observed in order to raise awareness about global health issues and highlight the importance of well-being.

• To celebrate this day, people from around the globe come together to promote a healthier world for everyone and to recognise WHO’s achievements.
• To address these types of challenges, the theme for World Health Day 2024 is 'My health, my right’.
• This year’s theme was chosen to champion the right of everyone, everywhere to have access to health services, education, and information, as well as safe drinking water, clean air, good nutrition, quality housing, decent working and environmental conditions, and freedom from discrimination.
