It is among the 25 “most wanted lost” species that are the focus of Global Wildlife Conservation’s “Search for Lost Species” initiative.  Like other fl ying squirrels, the most distinctive feature of this species is the furred, muscular membrane that extends along the sides of the body, from the front limbs to the hind legs.  The Namdapha fl ying squirrel inhabits temperate broadleaf forests.
