ICICI Lombard General Insurance has announced the hiring of Sanjeev Mantri as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mantri is currently the company's Executive Director.

• Mantri will take over as MD and CEO of ICICI Lombard General Insurance on December 1, or upon IRDAI approval for a five-year tenure, or until his retirement, subject to IRDAI and shareholder approval.
• Mantri began his career at Bennett Coleman and Co., held leadership positions at BNP Paribas, and spent over 20 years with the ICICI Group, initially at ICICI Bank in 2003 while overseeing various sectors including small and medium enterprises, rural and inclusive banking.
• He joined ICICI Lombard in 2015 as Executive Director in charge of the retail division, where he was in charge of product distribution through multiple channels. Mantri was instrumental in increasing the company's revenue, profitability, and stock exchange listing, as well as in the merger with Bharti Axa and the integration process.
