Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in connection with the excise policy scam case .

• The Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader will be put through a routine medical examination by a government doctor before being put in the lock-up where he will spend the night. He will be produced before a designated court .
• Reacting to the arrest, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Sisodia was innocent and that his arrest was part of "dirty politics".
• Earlier, Manish Sisodia was issued a notice for attending the investigation on 19th of February but he sought one week time citing his pre-occupation.
• The CBI accepted his request and again issued a notice for joining the investigation 26-02-2023 for answering various questions evaded by him during his questioning on 17th of October last year.
