World Unani Day is celebrated on February 11 marking birth anniversary of Hakim Ajmal Khan, a famous Indian Unani scholar. Unani, also called Yunani is Greek medicine.

• It was mainly developed by the Arabs and Persians. World Unani Day is celebrated to spread the findings of Hakim all over the world.
• The theme of World Unani Day 2023 - Unani Medicine for Public Health.
• On World Unani Day, the CRIU, the Central Research Institute of Unani presents the CCRUM awards. CCRUM is the Central Council of Research in Unani Medicine.
• In 2018, GoI launched several categories in UNANI medicine in the AYUSH awards.
