Find the area of a triangle whose sides are 26 cm, 28 cm and 30 cm

Explanation:

Given that, a = 26 cm, b = 28 cm, c = 30 cm
From Hero’s formula, Area = √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) )
Now, s = (a+b+c)/2 = (26+28+30)/2 = 84/2 = 42
and (s – a) = 42 – 26 = 16 cm,
(s – b) = 42 – 28 = 14 cm
and (s – c) = 42 – 30 = 12 cm
∴ Area = √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) )
= √(42 ×16× 14× 12)
= 336 sq cm.
