Explanation:

Apni Beti Apna Dhan Yojana :

Under this scheme, the financial assistance is given to mothers for the nourishment. This scheme is State Sponsored Scheme and being implemented by the Government of Haryana.

Objective:

This scheme aims to achieve the following goals:

1.To raise the status of the girl child in the society.
2.To improve the status of the mother in the family, who delivers a girl child.

Eligibility :

The following criteria should be fulfilled to avail the benefits under this scheme:

1.All families belonging to Scheduled Castes/Backward Caste categories (Except Gazetted Officer) are eligible under this scheme.
2.Families of General Caste category belonging to below poverty line are eligible under this scheme.

1.The benefits covered under this scheme are summarised as below:

2.The financial assistance of Rs. 500/- is given to mothers to fulfill her nutritional requirements and an amount of Rs. 2500/- is invested in Intravenous Playelography (IVPs) in the name of the new born baby.
3.This amount grows to Rs. 25,000 when the girl child reaches 18 years of age.
