World Asteroid Day (also known as International Asteroid Day) is an annual UN-sanctioned global awareness campaign event observed on June 30, which is the anniversary of the Siberian Tunguska event of 1908.

• Asteroids are small space rocks that are either revolving around the Sun or large planets like Saturn or Jupiter. While most asteroids usually just fly past Earth, however, they can cause immense damage if their collide with our planet.
• The World Asteroid Day 2022 – Aims to build awareness around asteroid impact hazards and the crisis communication workflow that can be executed at a global level in case of a threat.
