Australia deputy PM on 4-day India visit

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, the Hon Richard Marles MP, is on a four day visit to India from 20-23 June 2022. Deputy Prime Minister of Australia and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles received a guard of honour at Vigyan Bhawan premises.

Marles was received by Defence minister Rajnath Singh.
This is the first high-level visit from Australia after the formation of a new government under PM Anthony Albanese in May.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Marles will also meet External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar and engage national security and defence policymakers and personnel.
