x² + 13x + 40 = 0
x² + 8x + 5x + 40 = 0
x(x + 8) + 5 (x + 8) = 0
(x + 5) (x + 8) = 0

y² + 7y + 10 = 0
y² + 2y + 5y + 10 = 0
y (y+2) + 3 (y + 2) = 0
y = – 2, – 5
so, y ≥ x
