World Population Day

The World Population Day is observed every year on July 11 to raise awareness of global population issues, including their relations to the environment.
The day was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989 in commemoration of the day in 1987, when the world reached the population of 5 billion.
Theme of 2021 World Population Day is ‘the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on fertility’.
