“The Light of Asia: The Poem That Defined The Buddha”

Former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh has come out with his new book titled “The Light of Asia: The Poem that Defined the Buddha”.
The book will be released in May 2022 under the Penguin’s ‘Viking’ imprint publications.
This book is a biography of the phenomenal poem titled “The Light of Asia”, written and published by Sir Edwin Arnold in 1879, which describes the life and time of Prince Gautama Siddhartha, who after attaining enlightenment became the Buddha. It presents his life, character, and philosophy, in a series of verses/poem.
