A new book on policymaking titled “Policymaker’s Journal: From New Delhi to Washington D.C.”, by Indian economist Kaushik Basu is set to be launched on July 06, 2021.
This book provides its readers with Kaushik Basu’s experience of his over seven years career, first in India as Chief Economic Adviser to the Indian Government and after that as Chief Economist at the World Bank in Washington.
The journal presents full insights into what policy making is all about,in an easy and informal style.
The book is a revised version of the diary written by Kaushik Basu at the day’s or week’s end.
Kaushik Basu is professor of Economics and Carl Marks Professor of International Studies at Cornell University and is currently serving as president of the International Economic Association.
