Turkey & Azerbaijan Joint Military Drills ‘Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – 2021’ Begins in Baku

The joint military exercise between Turkey and Azerbaijan named “Mustafa Kemal Ataturk – 2021” began in Baku on June 28, 2021.
The three day drill will run until June 30, 2021, involving up to 600 personnel, around 40 tanks and armoured vehicles, and seven helicopters.
The main aim of the exercise is to improve the combat interoperability of the two countries’, develop the commanders’ military decision-making skills and their ability to manage military units.
