'Alan Burgess' World War II veteran passes away at 100

Alan Burgess, the world’s oldest living first-class cricketer, from New Zealand has passed away in his sleep.
He was aged 100 years and 250 day.
Burgess was a right-hand batsman and left-arm spinner. He played overall 14 first-class games between 1940-41 and 1951-52, of which 11 first-class matches were played for Canterbury.
He was a tank driver in World War II.
