Sir Surendranath Banerjee (10 November 1848 – 6 August 1925) was one of the earliest Indian political leaders during the British Raj. He founded the Indian Association along with Anandamohan Bose. Banerjee later became a senior leader of the Indian National Congress .Surendranath welcomed Montagu–Chelmsford Reforms . He left Congress in 1918 and founded a new organisation named Indian National Liberation Federation in 1919. He was one of the founding members of the Indian National Congress.
