The doctrine of stare decisive is not applicable in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will not ordinarily depart from its earlier decisions. However, if an earlier decision is found erroneous and is thus detrimental to the general welfare of the public, the Supreme Court will not hesitate in departing from it.
