    ‘A’ and ‘B’ complete a work in 12 days, ‘B’ and ‘C’ in 8 days and ‘C’ and ‘A’ in 16 days. ‘A’ left after working for 3 days. In how many days more will ‘B’ and ‘C’ finish the remaining work?

    Explanation:
    A+B = 12 days
    B+C = 8 days
    A+C = 16 days
    Let the total work = 48 units ( LCM of 12, 8 and 16)
    One day work -
    A+B = 4 units
    B+C = 6 units
    A+C = 3 units
    Adding these three
    2 (A+B+C) = 13 units
    A+B+C = 13/2 units
    Work done by A, B and C in 3 days
    A+B+C = 39/2 units
    Remaining work = 48 - 39/2 = 57/2 units
    This remaining work is done by B and C in 57/12 days i.e 19/4 days
