A shopkeeper marked a computer table for Rs 7,200. He allows a discount of 10% on it and yet makes profit of 8%. What will be

his gain percentage if he does NOT allow any discount?

- A 10% discount is given, so the selling price becomes 90% of the marked price: Rs 7,200 x 0.90 = Rs 6,480.

- The shopkeeper still makes an 8% profit, meaning the cost price is lower. Cost price = Selling price / 1.08 = Rs 6,480 / 1.08 = Rs 6,000.

- If no discount is given, selling price equals the marked price: Rs 7,200.

- Gain percentage if no discount is allowed: [(Selling Price - Cost Price) / Cost Price] x 100 = [(7,200 - 6,000) / 6,000] x 100 = 20%.

- Answer: Option 1, 20%
