Explanation:

A : C = 2 : 3 or 2x : 3x
B : D = 1 : 2 or y : 2y
According to question,
2x - 140 = y .... (i)
3x - 80 = 2y .... (ii)
multiply equation (i) by 2 and solved
x - 200 = 0
x = 200
Now put value of x in equation (i)
2×200−140=y
y = 260
