After the Boston Tea Party of 1773, Britain Implemented the :
Sugar Act
Tea Act
Declaratory Act
Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable, or Coercive, Acts of 1774 punished the colonies by closing down Boston Harbor and making them pay for the destroyed tea. In addition, a new quartering act was put in place that allowed troops to stay in the homes of citizens. The Quebec Act was also passed which expanded the Roman Catholic region of Quebec, which the predominantly Protestant colonists were against.
