Explanation:

Let the distance between point A and point B be x km.
Difference of time = 2 hours
∴ x/12 - x/15 = 2
= (5x – 4x)/60 = 2
= x/60 = 2
= x = 60 × 2 = 120 km.
∴ Time taken at 15 kmph to cover = 120 km.

time = 120/15 = 8 hours
now it means if we have to reach 9 am instead of 10 am then we have to cover the distance in 7 hours instead of 8 hours .
=> 120 = 7 x speed
= 120/7 kmph.
