Ravi’s age was one third of his father’s 18 years ago. Now he is half the age of his father. What is the difference in the present ages of father and Ravi?

Explanation:

Ravi’s present = x, father’s = 2x
Then, (2x-18) = 3 (x – 18)
Solve, x = 36
