    Explanation:

    Ans. (d) Let the numbers are a and b.
    ∴ a + b = 12
    and a × b = 35
    ∴ (a – b)2 = 122 – 4× 35
    = 144 – 140
    ∴ a – b = 2
    ∴ a = 7 and b = 5
    ∴ Required sum = 1/7 + 1/5 = (7+5)/7×5
    = 12/35
