    A bucket contains a mixture of two liquids A and B in the proportion 7:5. If 9 liters of the mixture is replaced by 9 liters of liquid B, then the ratio of the two liquids becomes 7:9. How much of the liquid A was there in the bucket?

    A : B  = 7 : 5
    Lets Assume A = 7x, B = 5x
    Value of A and B in 9L :-

    A = 7/12× 9 =21/4 L

    B = 5/12× 9 =15/4 L

    ((7x - 21/4))/((5x - 15/4+9)) = 7/9 x = 3

    Then 7x = 7×3 = 21L Ans.
