Ram spends 50 % of his income. His income is increased by 35% and he increased his expenditure by 10%. Find the percentage increase in his savings.

Let original income= Rs. 100. Then, expenditure= Rs. 50 and savings= 50
New income = Rs. 135, New expenditure = Rs. (135/100)50 = Rs. 67.5
New savings = Rs. (135- 67.5 )= Rs. 67.5
Increase in savings = Rs. (67.5- 50)= Rs.17.5
Increase % = [17.5x(1/50)x100]%= 35%
