    Explanation:

    Let radius of sphere = r
    Given that,
    Volume of sphere = 36π cm3
    ∴ 4/3 πr2 = 36π
    ⇒  r2 = 36 × 3 /4 = 27
    ⇒  r = 3 cm
    ∴  Reqd. ratio = Surface area of sphere /Diameter of sphere
    = 4πr2 /2π
    = 2π × 3 = 6π
