There is a road beside the river. Two men started from a place K, moved to a temple situated at another place L, and then returned to K again. One of them moves on a cycle at speed of 16 kmph, while the other sails on a boat at a speed of 14 kmph. If the river flows at the speed of 4 kmph, Which of the two friends will return to place K first?

Clearly, the cyclist moves both ways at a speed of 16 kmph.
So the average speed of cyclist = 16 kmph
The boat sailor moves downstream at (14+4) = 18 kmph

= 12.8kmph
