Let the two number be x and y, then
xy : (x + y) : (x - y) = 6 : 2 : 1
Now, x - y /x + y = 1/2
2x - 2y = x + y
x = 3y
x + y = 3y + y = 4y & xy = 3y * y = 3y²
Now, x + y /xy = 2/6
4y/3y²= 2/6
y = 3 x 4/3 = 4
then, x = 3 x 4 = 12
Hence, x + y = 12 + 4 = 16
