    Explanation:

    Let the length  of the train be x meters and its speed be y m/sec.
    Then, x/y = 20
    ⇒ y = x/20
    Now, as in both the cases speed is equal:
    So, x + 300/50 = x/20
    ⇒  2x + 600 = 5x   
    ⇔ 3x = 600  
    ⇒  x = 200 m.
