Explanation:

Profit earned by C = 1 – (1/3 + 1/4) + 1
= 1 - 7/12 = 5/12
So,
5/12 = 5000
∴ 1 → 12,000
∴ Profit received by A = 1/3 x 12000 = Rs. 4000
