A started a business with the capital of Rs. 12500 and after 4 months B joins A and invested Rs. 15000. They decided 40% of the total profit will be divided equally and remaining profit in the capital ratio. If A gets Rs. 2000 from the total profit, Find the total profit after one year.

Explanation:

Capital ratio = 12500 × 12 : 15000 × 8 = 5 : 4
Let profit = x
40% of the total profit will be divided equally and 60% profit in the capital ratio.
So A’s profit = (x * 40 * 1) /(100 * 2) + (x * 60 * 5) /(100 * 9)
2000 = ( x * 40 * 9 + x * 60 * 5 * 2) / (100 * 2 * 9)
2000 × 100 × 18 = 360x + 600x
2000 × 100 × 18 = 960x
x = Rs. 3750
