    Explanation:

    Let the amount lent at 4% be x
    ∴ Amount lent at 5% = (60k – x)
    According to the question,
    5% of (60k – x) + 4% of x = 2560
    (60k – x) × 5 + (4 × x) /100 = 2560
    ⇒  300k – 5x + 4x = 2560 × 100
    ⇒  300000 – 256000 = x
    ⇒  x = ? 44000.
