A sum Rs. 1550 is lent out into two parts, one at 8% and another one at 6%. If the total annual income is Rs. 106, find the money lent at each rate.
Rs. 875, Rs. 675
Rs. 1050, Rs. 500
Rs. 950, Rs. 600
Rs. 650, Rs. 900
Let Amount given at 8% is 'x' and Amount given at 6% is (1550 - x)
(x × 8%) + (1550 - x) × 6% = 106
Multiplying both sides by 100 :-
8x + (1550 -x) × 6 = 10600
8x + 9300 – 6x = 10600
2x = 1300
x = 650
Hence Rs.650 @ 8% and Rs.900 @ 6%.
Note:- If the time period is not given, Take it as 1 year by default.
