Five years ago, the average age of A, B, C and D was 45 years. With E joining them now the average of all the five is 49 years. How old is E?

Total age of A,B,C,D = (45 * 4 ) + 20 = 200
20 must be added to the total age of A,B,C,D . 45 is basically the average 5 years ago.

In total 4*5 = 20 years gap to the current age of these guys.

Hence, option 3 is the correct answer.
