    Explanation:

     H × S = 240 -------> (i)
    2S – H = 4 -------> (ii)
    By (i) and (ii):-
    H² + 4H – 480 = 0
    H = -24 or 20
    We’ll take the positive value as the age can never be negative.
    H = 20 years.
    Put this in any of the two equations:-
    S = 12 years.
