An article when sold for Rs. 960 fetches 20% profit. What would be the per cent profit/loss if 5 such articles are sold for Rs. 825 each?
3.125% profit
3.125% loss
Neither profit nor loss
16.5% profit
Whether there is only 1 article or 5 Articles. We just need to find the ratio of Cost price to the Selling Price.
Let's assume that the C.P of 1 Article = 100
Hence the S.P = 120 -------> Rs.960
C.P = 100 -----> 960/120 * 100 = 800 Rs.
CP of 5 Articles : S.P of 5 Articles
5 * 800 : 5 * 825
32 : 33
P% = 1/32 * 100% = 3.125%
