A man earns Rs.7500. He spends 60% of his income. If his income increases by 20% and his expenditure increases by 10%, find the increase in his savings?

Explanation:

Income = 7500
Expenditure - (60/100)*7500 = 4500
Saving = 7500 - 4500 = 3000
Increased lncome = 7500+(20/100)*7500 = 9000
Increased Expenditure = 4500+(10/100)*4500 = 4950
Increased saving = 9000 - 4950 = 4050
Increase in saving = 4050 - 3000 = 1050
