Length of fencing = 2l + b = 30 ⇒ (200/b + b= 30 ⇒ b2 – 30b + 200 = 0 ⇒ (b – 20)(b – 10) = 0 ⇒ b= 20 or 10 ⇒ l = 100/20 = 5 or 100/10 = 10 The garden is in the shape of a rectangle. Therefore, the length and the breadth of the garden are 5 m and 20 m respectively.
