Sujoy Chatterjee and Momita Banerjee got married in 2000. At the time of marriage, Momita was not aware of the fact that Sujoy was suffering from Schizophrenia and that his illness was acute. When she got to know of it within two months of her marriage, she was disappointed. However, she decided to continue with the marriage hoping for things to get better in future.
