With reference to Governor’s Power to decide on Bills, consider the following statements
Select the correct statement.
1 only
2 only
Both
None
Both statements are incorrect.
Article 200 of the Indian Constitution deals with the powers of the Governor with regard to assent given to bills passed by the State legislature and other powers of the Governor such as reserving the bill for the President's consideration. Article 201 gives powers to the Governor of the state to reserve a Bill passed by the state legislature, for the consideration of the President.
The Governor of India enjoys absolute veto, suspensive veto (except on money bills) but not the pocket veto. The pocket veto is exercised only by President to keep the bill with himself without taking any action for an indefinite period of time.
Hence option 4th is correct.
