Rajasthan State Sports Council :
Rajasthan State Sports Council is the apex body in Rajasthan at the State level to look after the development of sports activities and providing coaching to the players of the state. It was set up in 1957 by the Government of Rajasthan.and it is registered as a society under Rajasthan state society act, 1958. Mr. V.G. Kanetkar was the first president of the council.
Organisation :
•Governor of Rajasthan is the chief patron of RSSC.
•Chief minister of Rajasthan is deputy patron of RSSC.
•The chairman of the council is the chief executive.
•Apart from the chairman the council also include vice president, Treasurer and 12 members nominated by the state government.
•6 officers are ex officio members.
1. Introduction :-
(i) Rajasthan State Sports Council, Rajasthan Institute is a registered institution under the Registration Act, 1958, which is the supreme organization of sports development in the state in the state in the affairs of the youth affairs and sports department. After the establishment, Sports Council has played an important role in the development of state sports in the history of last 58 years.
(ii) Players are awarded " Maharana Pratap Award " for outstanding achievements at National and International level by State Sports Council . With cash prize of Rs 10,000, the amount of cash was also being given in the award along with the citation. So far, 122 sportspersons of the state have been honored with this award. Now the amount of Maharana Pratap award is Rs. 100,000 / -.
(iii) The Sports Council also honors such sports trainers with "Vashishth Puraskar ". Which nationally and internationally, has been awarded to 25 trainers 'Vashisht award' so far is to make the state the players carve taxable player who brought the name. The amount of this award has also been paid to Rs. 1,00,000 / -.
(iv) Rajasthan State Sports Council is eligible for credit to provide new direction for sports development in India. The Sports Council laid the tradition of organizing a residential sports training program for the first time selected players in the country, which was appreciated and emulated at the national level. The Council started the first sports training camp in mountainous mountain Mount Abu in 1959. Continuing this tradition in May-June, 2015, the 57th Central Training Camp was held in Mount Abu and Jaipur.
(v) In order to make the talents of tribal areas organized by the Sports Council, separate training camps are organized separately in summer holidays. Tribe camp was held in Udaipur in the month of May-June 2015 also in Udaipur.
2. Constitution of Sports Council: -
(i) The governor of Rajasthan State Sports Council (PATRON) is the Governor of the State. The Chief Minister of the state is also the Deputy mentor of the Council. The Chairman of the Council is the Chief Executive. Apart from this, there are countless members of the Council nominated by Vice President, Treasurer and State Government. 6 officers are ex-officio members.
3. Administrative law :-
(i) In the State, 341 posts of different cadres have been created for the operation and administrative work of sports activities, out of which 269 posts are filled and 72 posts are vacant. In this, the posts of secretary of the council, 48 posts of officer cadre, 165 posts of subordinate staff cadre and posts of 54 ministerial and 74 assistant employees are approved. In order to provide free sports training in the state, 149 posts of trainers are approved, in which presently 122 coaches are training. There are three instructors of the Indian Sports Authority (SAI) in the state.
(ii) The offices of the District Sports Training Center are working in all 33 districts of the state to promote sports and provide regular training . In these offices, a sports officer / in-charge of the Council, Junior Clerk and on the basis of the games prevailing in the districts, are provided to trainers according to requirement and availability.Keeper and gameboy are also working for the maintenance of offices and plains.
(iii) The District Sports Officer also organizes various sports competitions in collaboration with its subordinate staff and trainers, and also impart intensive training to the promising players of the district.
4. Income and expenses :-
(i) The council has been sanctioned by the State Government in the financial year 2015-16 for the planning of Rs 312.00 lakhs for various schemes and Rs 1045.91 lakhs in the Planning Department. In the year 2014-15, this amount was Rs. 310.00 lakhs and 54.43 million rupees respectively.
5. Grant :-
(i) For the second week of January, in the financial year 2015-16, 30 states of various 13 games will be eligible for women competition. For the national competitions of 89,16,507 / - and for the national contests of the state party, for 33 national championships of 12 games 23, 07,762 / - was raised in advance. Proposals for organizing 08 sports training camps were received in this financial year, which were accepted as valid.
6. Sports activities and programs: - The Sports Council conducts various sports activities in the state through sports training program, to promote sports talent and sports and to shape promising sports talent. The main activities of these are as follows:
(i) Regular training: - Efficient trainers have been engaged in all 33 districts and at the state level by carving promising talent and refining them through regular training. The instructors of the Sports Authority of India along with the coaches of the Council also train. The Council offers free training and sports equipment to the participants in different sports for the year in every district headquarters.
(ii) Summer training camp: During the summer months, during the summer months, in the month of May-June, the summer headquarters was organized on the district headquarters. Shivir was organized in the prescribed Games, during the time of training, players were provided free training, playground, sports equipment etc. T-shirts, certificates etc. were provided free of cost to players participating at the end of the championship. About 4,000 players received the training in the said Shiveir.
(iii) Central Residential Summer Training Camp: - In order to provide the highest intensive training to the players, the Council organizes the Central Residential Training Camp every year in May-June every year. Each year, this camp is organized at Mount Abu, a part of the camp is also organized in Jaipur,
(iv ) Central Tribune Summer Residential Training Camp: - The Central Tribal Sports Training Camp is organized every year by the Rajasthan State Sports Council. Free training, accommodation, food, sports equipment, TA-DA, T-shirt, certificate etc. are given to players participating during the camp. At the end of the camp, the best players in each game are awarded a prize.
(v) National Competition / Pre-training: Prior to participating in different national competitions at the state level, the residential camps are organized by the Council, in which the state party provides the services of sports teams, sports grounds and trainers for the purpose of free meals, housing, travel allowance and training by the state party. Are provided.
(vi) NIS under the budget announcement of the Chief Minister While doing diploma, the original female players of Rajasthan will get Rs. 25 in the form of permanent fund during the diploma period. 1,000 / - per month assistance is provided.
