Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) established the National Research Centre on Rapeseed-Mustard (NRCRM) on October 20, 1993 at the site of an Adaptive Trial Centre, Government of Rajasthan, and Located at Sewar, Bharatpur to carry out basic, strategic and applied research. To augment the production and productivity of rapeseed-mustard across the country, the all india coordinated research Project on Rapeseed-Mustard (AICRPRM) with 11 main, 13 sub and 22 verification centres was also brought under its umbrella.
