Haryana Government has decided to set up Government Homeopathic College and Hospital at Manglai village in Ambala district under the National AYUSH Mission.Chief Minister Manohar lal has approved a proposal in this regard.The Chief Minister has also approved the proposal to bear additional expenditure beyond Rs 1,050 lakh from the State budget and staff recruitment for the college and hospital as per Central Council of Homeopathic norms under State budget.There is a scheme under National AYUSH Mission for financial assistance of Rs 1,050 lakhs (Centre and state ratio) for setting up of new AYUSH educational institutions in the state where it is not available in government sector. Under the scheme, the amount is to be shared by the Centre and State Government in the ratio of 60:40.
Out of Rs 1050 lakh, an amount of Rs 900 lakh would be spent on the construction of Out Patient Department (OPD) and Inpatient Department (IPD), teaching departments, library, laboratories and girls and boys hostels. Out of this, Rs 540 lakh would be borne by the Centre Government and Rs 360 lakh by the State Government.Similarly, out of Rs 150 lakh to be spent on the furniture, equipment and library books, Rs 90 lakh would be spent by the Centre Government and Rs 60 lakh by the State Government.However, the budget provision for construction, furniture, equipment and library books beyond Rs 1,050 lakh would be borne from the State budget. Also, the staff for Government Homeopathic College and Hospital would also be taken under State budget as per Central Council of Homeopathic (CCH) norms,
