Haryana Government has accorded approval of Rs 882.50 crore for construction of 11,259 houses for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the state at Hisar, Fatehabad, Agroha, Jagadhri, Karnal and Safidon. While giving this information today, a spokesman of Haryana Housing Board said that construction of 411 EWS flats for BPL families has been completed with effect from October 26, 2014 to May 31, 2015. During this period an expenditure of Rs 181.38 crore has been incurred on construction of EWS and EWS for BPL and other categories of flats.
