Want to know whether parking space is available in the market you just entered? The Smart City App, to be launched by Lucknow Municipal Corporation soon, will come to your aid. You can also find out the routes, time and real time status of UPSRTC buses besides the facility to lodge complaints related to civic issues and traffic among other things through the app, which LMC says would be a one-stop centre for several services being offered under Smart City scheme. The information on Smart City App was announced by LMC officials at the Smart City Summit organised by LMC on Friday.
The app will be available in Google playstore. Initially, android version is being developed. The application will have several windows, each one for a different service.
Location of buses will be available through GPS installed in buses. Availability and booking of seats in a bus can be made through UPSRTC window which will be installed in the app. Also, smart metro cards can be recharged with this app. General manager, Smart City project, SK Jain said the app is likely to be launched in April 2019. Representatives of various municipal corporations from India presented smart city solutions being implemented in their respective cities at the summit.
